For seven decades the Los Angeles International Wine Competition has bestowed gold medals to the best wines from around the globe. Sixty years later, the addition of the Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition was a perfect fit.


The Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition enlisted an impressive list of judges to taste the finest domestic and International extra virgin olive oils. The competition was eventually opened to international oils, with oils coming from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Argentina and France.

Great Taste Award 2011

The Great Taste Award is conducted by The Guild, formed in 1995 with a mission to build bridges between suppliers and producers in the industry, and currently has over 1300 members in the UK.


The Great Taste Award is a reference, which currently has over 7000 entries per year. The GTA has gained widespread recognition among producers. The oil is subjected to rigorous testing by a specially selected panel of experts including internationally renowned chefs, buyers, food critics and owners of gourmet shops.

Farming National Fair 2011

The National Contest of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which is jointly organized by CNEMA CEPAAL to run for the National Agricultural Fair. The contest has reached not only by the number of participants but also the quality of products displayed: 80 of 101 oil producers, 40 panelists (Portuguese and Spanish), which included industry experts from all regions of the country's production, journalists and consumers.

Biennial of Olive Oil 2009

According to the organizers of the Biennial Oil 09, this shows great importance in the historical overview, current and future of Portugal, the Olive Oil Biennial is an event of national character that you want to make a difference against the innovating and combining distinction & innovation, knowledge & discussion, ambience & creativity.


In the 09th edition of the competition were 34 national representative oils from various regions. There was also an opportunity for consumers to "tell of his righteousness."


Two brands of the universe JCCoimbra were recognized.

Panela ao Lume 2006

The Brotherhood [gastronomic brotherhood] was born of a union of some readers of "The Trade Port", as of Sunday there chronicles published since April 1986 - "Panela ao Lume" having had the first meeting on December 1, 1986. Affiliated to the National Federation of Brotherhoods of Portuguese cuisine.


Marialva Extra Virgin Olive Oil was awarded and honored with the award for best Extra Virgin Olive Oil for the fraternity in 2006.
